Gold Plate Dinner - 1 November 2008
The St Andrew’s Medical Institute Gold Plate Dinner held on 1st November 2008 was an elegant evening of fantastic food and wine. This event was held at Two - a Restaurant and Wine Bar in Edward Street Brisbane.  The delicious seven course degustation menu was created and prepared by renowned Chef, David Pugh.  

Fashion Parade and Champagne Brunch  - 22 August 2008
SAMI hosted a Fashion Parade and Champagne Brunch on Friday the 22nd August 2008.  The event was held at the Emporium Hotel in Fortitude Valley and was a great success thanks to the efforts of a dedicated team of volunteers led by Glyn Rangihuna.  The event raised around $10,000 for SAMI.  Thank you very much to all of our supporters!

Annual Cardic Audit - 3 June 2008
St Andrew's Medical Institute presented the annual audit of St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital cardiac services on Tuesday 3rd June 2008.  This was once again a very successful event.  Details of the audit can be viewed here.

Statistical Workshop - 7 May 2008
"Driving excellence in clinical outcomes: methods for monitoring and influencing change". 
This workshop brought together individuals who were already exploring the application of innovative statistical techniques, to the monitoring of clinical practice and processes.  It provided a fantastic forum for cross-fertilisation of ideas and discussion of areas of common interest, and was a catalyst for ongoing dialogue and the sharing of knowledge in this evolving area.  The morning session included presentations about the work currently being done and approaches employed by the various groups while the afternoon session focussed on discussion of the technical aspects.
The workshop was sponsored by the St Andrew's Medical Institute and QUT, School of Mathematical Sciences.
